Also this week, Cornelius firefighters helped extinguish a brush fire near mile marker 31 of I-77 Northbound, and assisted Huntersville firefighters in investigating a report of smoke. FIREFIGHTERS SUPPORT CANCER AWARENESS
Firefighters headed to Outcast Kustoms Sunday morning to get a first glimpse of the newly-completed breast cancer awareness truck.
The Lake Norman Volunteer Fire Department donated a truck they were retiring to the Iredell County Firefighter?s Association, who then gave it to Outcast Kustoms to work their magic. They painted the truck pink, and installed special features, including big screen televisions in some of the compartments on which to show educational videos about breast cancer. They also installed a t-shirt gun on the top on the truck. The truck will be used to promote breast cancer awareness.
